on thursday we got up very early in oslo, and took the plane to london. we went straight to kensington where we were going to stay for two days before we could move into the apartment. the hotel was so awful, but super cheap and it didn’t really matter because we felt like we were on vacation and went out to explore.
everything was blossoming and the streets were warm and smelled so good. we were on our way to the park but kind of forgot about it until it was right in front of us.
holland park! we saw two great birds and a lot of happy dogs. then we wanted some ice cream and investigated by going the opposite direction of everyone sporting a cone.
and we found it! i had pistacchio and coconut, j had chocolate and bergamot. then we went into regents street to get j some new jeans.
and the bus home. we almost got there but not quite and i had to just be brave and walk home with huge blisters on my feet, so painful but with the promise of beer at the pub motivating me to walk.
we had several kinds and found out that we might as well have dinner there. so we had some amazing burgers almost quietly and then we fell asleep at eleven after twenty minutes of mad men.
