why would a man leave his apartment three times on a rainy night with a suitcase and come back three times? – he likes the way his wife welcomes him home.

last week j and i had a week long movie marathon. we watched at least one per day, and one of the best ones was alfred hitchcock’s rear window from 1954. with grace kelly and james stewart. it’s about a photographer who has had his leg broken and is confined to his apartment for weeks on end. through his window he observes his neighbors closely. something happens, leading him to think that the man across from him has killed his wife, and his high society girlfriend helps him solve the mystery. it’s very “pillow in front of your face” in the end, hitchcock really is the master of suspense. you really should watch it. and who doesn’t want to spend a couple of afternoon hours with grace kelly? ♥
